Let this be a warning to everyone whose names starts with “Mc”: MCDONALD’S OWNS YOUR NAME.

19 year old Lauren McClusky of Chicago decided a few years ago that she wanted to put on some concerts to raise money for charity. Since her co-chair for the concerts at the time also had a name beginning with “Mc”, it just felt natural to call their show “McFest”. Guess how McDonald’s reacted?

Radiohead Haiti Benefit Concert

Radiohead played at the Music Box at the Fonda in Los Angeles last night. Drummer, Phil Segway, announced the show only two days earlier on the bands blog, Dead Air Space. The concert managed to raise $572,754 for the Oxfam Haiti relief fund. Tickets were auctioned off to the highest bidder with the highest bid being $2,000 and the lowest ticket being $475.
